The enemy isn’t afraid of a big church, he’s afraid of a united church. Above all else, let’s fight to protect the unity of the people of God. The goal of unity isn’t uniformity. The beauty of the gospel is we can all be uniquely made but be united around a common vision and goal to spread the name of Jesus. The enemy would love to feed our insecurities, sow seeds of jealousy, bitterness and suspicion, and cause us to turn on each other instead of standing together to fight the battles that truly matter. We must recognize when these things are being stirred in us and in the people that we love. Time is too precious to become a fractured and broken community. Unity was so important that Jesus specifically prayed this for us. Lean in to unity and pray against the things that would cause division among us.

Prayer Focus
Father, give me the strength to be an advocate for your peace and unity. Help me forgive, not hold bitterness, and have compassion for others. Allow me to bring unity in my church family and to quickly recognize when the enemy is trying to divide us against each other by stirring up the broken desires of our flesh. Let Adventure Church be a body of believers whose hearts are soft, humble and gentle towards each other, in Jesus name.
