The Weight of Your Words – Consider the Source

The relationship you have with others is rarely the same relationship they have with you.
WORDS carry WEIGHT.
WORDS are not EQUALLY weighted.
The SOURCE determines the WEIGHT.
When it comes to our words, WHO is more important than WHAT.
SOURCE determines weight.

Weight determines IMPACT.

Impact determines OUTCOME.
Consider the Source
Remember WHO you are and WHAT you represent to the person on the other side of you.

Ephesians 4:29 (NIV)
Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen.

Matthew 5:13-16
“You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot. 14 “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. 16 In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.

– Our words should PRESERVE & PROTECT

– Our words should bring LIGHT & LIFE.
Leverage your life in a way that others may SEE and HEAR ME through YOU.
It’s not just an OPPORTUNITY, it’s our RESPONSIBILITY.
1 Corinthians 13:1 (NIV)
if I speak in the tonguesof men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal.
James 3:9-10 (NIV)
With the tongue we praise our Lord and Father, and with it we curse human beings, who have been made in God’s likeness. 10 Out of the same mouth come praise and cursing. My brothers and sisters, this should not be.
James 3:11-12 (NIV)
Can both fresh water and saltwater flow from the same spring? 12 My brothers and sisters, can a fig tree bear olives, or a grapevine bear figs? Neither can a salt spring produce fresh water.
What do you do?
REMEMBER.
Surrender.
CONFESS.
