Jesus saved you FROM DEATH and FOR LIFE.
You are IN CHRIST and CHRIST is IN YOU!

Sin doesn’t control WHERE you go when you DIE.

Sin doesn’t have to control WHAT you do WHILE you LIVE.

Romans 7:15, 18-19 (NIV)
I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do. For I have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot carry it out. 19 For I do not do the good I want to do, but the evil I do not want to do—this I keep on doing.

Romans 6:9 (NLT)
We are sure of this because Christ was raised from the dead, and he will never die again. Death no longer has any power over him.

Romans 6:10 (NLT)
When he died, he died once to break the power of sin. But now that he lives, he lives for the glory of God.

  1. DECLARE – sin is not your master.

Romans 6:11 (NIV)
In the same way, count yourselves dead to sin but alive to God in Christ Jesus.

Romans 6:12 (NLT)
DO NOT LET sin control the way you live, do not give in to sinful desires.

Do we EXCUSE or ELIMINATE our SIN?

SPIRIT-POWER over WILL-POWER

I Corinthians 10:12-13 (NLT)
If you think you are standing strong, be careful not to fall. 13 The temptations in your life are no different from what others experience. And God is faithful. He will not allow the temptation to be more than you can stand. When you are tempted, he will show you a way out so that you can endure.

  1. DECIDE – not to let sin rule your life.

Romans 6:13a (NLT)
DO NOT LET any part of your body become an instrument of evil to serve sin.

Romans 6:13 (NLT)
DO NOT LET any part of your body become an instrument of evil to serve sin. Instead, give yourselves completely to God, for you were dead, but now you have new life. So use your whole body as an instrument to do what is right for the glory of God.

Romans 8:13 (NIV)
For if you live according to the flesh, you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the misdeeds of the body, you will live.

Put OFF SIN and put ON RIGHTEOUSNESS.

  1. DEVOTE – every part of yourself to God

REPENT & REPLACE.

Ephesians 4:21-24 (NLT)
Since you have heard about Jesus and have learned the truth that comes from him, 22 throw off your old sinful nature and your former way of life, which is corrupted by lust and deception. 23 Instead, let the Spirit renew your thoughts and attitudes. 24 Put on your new nature, created to be like God—truly righteous and holy.

Colossians 3:1-3 (NLT)
Since you have been raised to new life with Christ, set your sights on the realities of heaven, where Christ sits in the place of honor at God’s right hand.Think about the things of heaven, not the things of earth. For you died to this life, and your real life is hidden with Christ in God.

John 15:5 (NLT)
“Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from me you can do nothing.”
