Pray First – First Things First

A proper PERSPECTIVE aligns our PRIORITIES.

Daily DISCIPLINES lead us to our desired DESTINATION.

Genesis 1:1 (NIV)
In the beginning God…

Exodus 20:1-3 (NIV)
And God spoke all these words: “I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery. You shall have no other gods before me.”

The Principle of First (Priorities)

Give God the FIRST of EVERYTHING.

Leviticus 27:30 (NIV)
A tithe of everything from the land, whether grain from the soil or fruit from the trees, belongs to the LORD; it is holy to the LORD.

I Corinthians 16:2 (NIV)
On the first day of every week, each one of you should set aside a sum of money in keeping with your income, saving it up, so that when I come no collections will have to be made.

Deuteronomy 14:23 (TLB)
The purpose of tithing is to teach you to always put God in first place in your life.

Proverbs 3:6-10 (NIV)
In all your ways acknowledge him… Honor the LORD with your wealth, with the firstfruits of all your crops; then your barns will be filled to overflowing, and your vats will brim over with new wine.

Hebrews 12:1-3 (NLT)
Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us. We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith. Because of the joy awaiting him, he endured the cross, disregarding its shame. Now he is seated in the place of honor beside God’s throne. Think of all the hostility he endured from sinful people; then you won’t become weary and give up.
