Matthew 16:18 (NIV)
And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock, I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it.

Jesus did not predict a PLACE, He predicted a PEOPLE.

Jesus left His PROMISE in the hands of His PEOPLE.

We all want to be known for something?

We begin to MANAGE our IMAGE.

We all have GAPS.

We WANT to be known for SOMETHING.

We NEED to be known by SOMEONE(S).

Don’t just PRETEND, let someone IN.

Cheers Theme Song:

Making your way in the world today
Takes everything you’ve got.
Taking a break from all your worries
Sure would help a lot.
Wouldn’t you like to get away?

Sometimes you want to go
where everybody knows your name.
And they’re always glad you came.
You want to be where you can see
Our troubles are all the same.
You want to be where everybody knows your name.

James 5:16 (NLT)
Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results.

FORGIVENESS comes from confessing to God.

HEALING comes from confessing to each other.

You’ll always stay as SICK as your SECRETS.

Hebrews 10:24-25 (NIV)
And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, 25 not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.

A meaningful LIFE is found in meaningful RELATIONSHIPS.

Galatians 6:1a-2(NIV)
Brothers and sisters, if someone is caught in a sin, you who live by the Spirit should restore that person gently. 2 Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.

Romans 15:7 (NIV)
Accept one another, then, just as Christ accepted you, in order to bring praise to God.

“Friendship is born at that moment when one person says to another, ‘What! You too? I thought I was the only one.’” -C.S. Lewis

We’re not trying to just draw a crowd, were trying to build a community.
