There is a big difference between your STANDARD of LIVING and QUALITY of LIFE.

Simplifying your life may LOWER your standard of living but will raise your QUALITY of life.

The MYTH you need to DISMISS: MONEY will make me HAPPY.

 

Matthew 6:24-25 (NIV)
“No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money. 25 “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes?”

 

The most important THINGS in life aren’t THINGS at all.

When we SPEND more than we MAKE we become SLAVES.

 

Proverbs 22:7b (NIV)
The borrower is slave to the lender.

 

MONEY becomes our MASTER when we SPEND our way into SLAVERY.

 

SIMPLICITY = the intentional promotion of the things we value and the removal of everything that distracts us from them.

 

Six STEPS to SIMPLICITY:

 

  1. DECIDE to get FREE.
  1. DEFINE your WHY.
  1. PICK a PERCENTAGE.
  1. TRACK your SPENDING.
  1. CUT your SPENDING.
  1. DESTROY your DEBT.
