Focus not on what’s HAPPENING, but instead on what HAPPENED.

2 Chronicles 15:15 (MSG)
Anticipating the best, they had sought God—and he showed up, ready to be found. God gave them peace within and without—a most peaceable kingdom!

Isaiah 26:1-4 (NLT)
In that day, everyone in the land of Judah will sing this song: Our city is strong! We are surrounded by the walls of God’s salvation. 2 Open the gates to all who are righteous; allow the faithful to enter. 3 You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you, all whose thoughts are fixed on you! 4 Trust in the Lord always, for the Lord God is the eternal Rock.

PEACE is not PASSIVE

Isaiah 26:3 (NLT)
You will keep in perfect peace… all whose thoughts are fixed on you!

Isaiah 26:3 (NIV)
You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast.

Philippians 4:8-9 (NLT)
Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise. 9…Then the God of peace will be with you.

You have to TRAIN your BRAIN.

Take CONTROL of the CONVERSATION.

John 14:27 (NLT)
“I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid.

Philippians 4:6-7 (NIV
Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

A PRESCRIPTION for PEACE:

– PAUSE

– PRAY

– PRAISE

– PEACE

PRACTICE His PEACE. (this does not come naturally)
Let’s practice right now…everyone close your eyes…take a deep breath in and let it out slow…do another one…

Isaiah 9:6-7 (NLT)
For a child is born to us, a son is given to us. The government will rest on his shoulders. And he will be called: Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. His government and its peace will never end. He will rule with fairness and justice from the throne of his ancestor David for all eternity.
