When ETERNITY becomes a REALITY, it changes everything.

What you BELIEVE about ETERNITY should determine how you LIVE TODAY.

If we don’t accept REALITY of HELL, we will never appreciate GLORY of GOSPEL.

Matthew 7:13-14 (NIV)
Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. 14 But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.

Hell was designed for God to deal RIGHTEOUSLY with SATAN.

Revelation 20:10 (NIV)
And the devil, who deceived them, was thrown into the lake of burning sulfur, where the beast and the false prophet had been thrown. They will be tormented day and night for ever and ever.

Hell was designed for God to deal RIGHTEOUSLY with UNBELIEVERS.

It’s impossible for God to be HOLY without being JUST!

2 Thessalonians 1:8-9 (NIV)
He will punish those who do not know God and do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus. 9 They will be punished with everlasting destruction and shut out from the presence of the Lord.

Luke 16:19 (NIV)
“There was a rich man who was dressed in purple and fine linen and lived in luxury every day.”

Luke 16:20-22(NIV)
“At his gate was laid a beggar named Lazarus, covered with sores 21 and longing to eat what fell from the rich man’s table. 22 The time came when the beggar died and the angels carried him to Abraham’s side. The rich man also died and was buried.”

Luke 16:23-24 (NIV)
“In Hades, where he was in torment, he looked up and saw Abraham far away, with Lazarus by his side. 24 So he called to him, ‘Father Abraham, have pity on me and send Lazarus to dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue, because I am in agony in this fire.’ “

Without Christ, to be ABSENT from the BODY is the BEGINNING of SUFFERING.

Revelation 14:10-11 (NIV)
…they, too, will drink the wine of God’s fury, which has been poured full strength into the cup of his wrath. They will be tormented with burning sulfur in the presence of the holy angels and of the Lamb. 11 And the smoke of their torment will rise for ever and ever…”

Luke 16:27-28 (NIV)
“He answered, ‘Then I beg you, father, send Lazarus to my family, 28 for I have five brothers. Let him warn them, so that they will not also come to this place of torment.’”

4 Lessons from Hell:

  1. The rich man was fully conscious and aware.
  2. The rich man’s eternal destiny was permanently fixed.
  3. The rich man knew that his suffering was just.
  4. The rich man pleaded for someone to help his brothers know Jesus.

John 3:16 (NIV)
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

Romans 6:23 (NIV)
For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Romans 5:8-9 (NLT)
But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners. 9 And since we have been made right in God’s sight by the blood of Christ, he will certainly save us from God’s condemnation.

John 10:10 (NIV)
“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.”

Luke 13:23-28 (NIV)
Someone asked Jesus, “Lord, are only a few people going to be saved?” He said to them, 24 “Make every effort to enter through the narrow door, because many, I tell you, will try to enter and will not be able to. 25 Once the owner of the house gets up and closes the door, you will stand outside knocking and pleading, ‘Sir, open the door for us.’ “But he will answer, ‘I don’t know you or where you come from.’ 26 “Then you will say, ‘We ate and drank with you, and you taught in our streets.’ 27 “But he will reply, ‘I don’t know you or where you come from. Away from me, all you evildoers!’ 28 “There will be weeping there, and gnashing of teeth, when you see Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and all the prophets in the kingdom of God, but you yourselves thrown out.“
