Everyone has an opinion about Jesus. Whether it’s based on stories you’ve heard of Him or things your friends have said about Him, you likely have an impression of Jesus.
At Adventure Church, Jesus is preeminent in our hearts and central in all we do. We believe Jesus is unrivaled in history. His name is the only name that saves, no matter who you are or what you’ve done. Regardless of where you were born or the color of your skin, Jesus is the only way for you to have a relationship with God. Everyone’s invited. Everyone’s included. Everyone’s important.
Serving God and people is one of the best ways to grow in your faith. When you volunteer, you are the hands and feet of Christ, impacting countless lives. Whether you are behind the scenes or on the front lines, you are the first impression for every person who walks through our doors. Our volunteers serve in the power and joy of the Holy Spirit, understanding that no ask is too big and no role is too small.
Another great way to get connected at Adventure Church is through our Life Groups. We believe church is not an organization you join, but a family to which you belong. It is our hope that no matter where you’re at on your journey, you are consistently growing closer to Jesus and have a family of people that can support you as you do.
We believe Jesus Christ is a giver, not a taker. Through His death and resurrection, He has given us the unsurpassable gift of eternal life. We view giving as an act of worship and a response to the grace of God. Our reaction isn’t to calculate how little we can return to Him, but to offer God everything as the only appropriate thanks for all He does for us. Generosity is not about our wealth, but about our hearts and confidence in God.
Matthew 28:18-20, encourages us to go and make disciples of all nations. Now while that may seem a bit overwhelming, the reality is that there are thousands of people all around us who don’t know the peace that comes from a relationship with Jesus.
There’s probably a handful of people that you can think of right now that you could invite to Adventure Church. So, invite someone to a Facebook event, hand someone an invite card, or even better, bring them to a Sunday service. Just remember, one invite can change someone’s life forever.
